1.Work with a partner to study these sets of words:

2. Now decide which word is the ODD ONE OUT. Underline it and explain to your choice to your partner.
 
3. Find another word that you can put in the last column. Keep the same odd one out but the new word must match the pair in the set.
 
4. Work alone and try to make up three sets for your partner to try to find the ODD ONE OUT.
 
5. Now sort all the words into 3 headings - VILLAGE; TOWN ; CITY
