Image 2: Melbourne was first set up in the 1830s to trade with which island? What do you think was taken to and from the island and Melbourne?
Image 3: What is the modern city centre of Melbourne like? (what river can you see?)
Image 4: What discovery led a rush of people to move to Melbourne in the 1850s? Where did the migrants come from?
Image 5: Where did another wave of migration come from in the 1900s after the Wars? What sort of businesses did these migrants set up?
Image 6: What other business has grown in the last 50 years using the skills that these migrants brought?
Image 7: What is the most recent wave of migration to Melbourne (since 1970)? What jobs do these people do?
